Food Services
The food service departments here at Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach are a fun and fast paced environment that are high in guest contact and interaction. Honest, outgoing, friendly, and pleasant personalities are a must! You will be required to maintain a very clean work area during the day and at the end of your shift, while making sure you have all the necessary items in order to perform your job properly throughout the day and prior to leaving. Several of the positions require that you will use and be familiar with the use of a cash register. Those positions will necessitate the register tape and the cash turned in to be within company regulations each shift. Below is a list the positions available.
Pier Grille
Job positions include:
- Char broiler: Cooks hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs and works fry station during slow times.
- Pizza maker: Makes pizza, pizza dough, and pizza sauce and cuts cheese all to company standards.
- Flat Top Grill: Cooks cheese steaks, chicken cheese steaks, sausage pepper & onions and any daily specials.
- Slice Warmer: Heats up pizza slices to fill orders.
- Fry Station: Cooks all fry items to fill orders. Change oil when needed.
- Cashier: Rings the order according to the customers needs. Return the correct change to the guests. Place the order ticket on a serving tray.
- Expediter: Reads the meal ticket on the food tray and places all items on the tray. You will cross off the items as you place them on the tray to make sure all the items ordered are received.
- Preparation: Responsible for making all the items needed for all of the stands on the boardwalk. Maintain the cleanliness of the basement during and before you end your shift.
- Table Cleaners: Maintain the cleanliness of the tables and chairs in the arcade and by curly fries. Clean up any spills or trash on the floor. Clean food trays and return to the pier grill.
General Info:
- All the stations in the pier grill work together and help out each other as needed.
- All the stations work together to keep the area clean during their shift and at closing time.
- All stations are to be restocked at the end of each shift.
- Experience required for all stations.
Boardwalk Food Stands
WAFFLES AND ICE CREAM
- This stand serves waffles and ice cream that are made to order.
- It also serves pretzels, churros, cotton candy and ice cream cones.
- You are responsible for taking and filling the customers order, making sure the money is taken.
- During slow times you may be working alone in this stand and during busy times as many as 5 people may be working together.
- Experience is required for some area of this stand.
CURLY FRIES
- This stand serves crinkle cut french fries, zeppoles, funnel cakes and lemonade that are all made to order.
- You are responsible taking and filling the customers order, making sure the money is taken.
- During slow time you may be alone in this stand and during busy times as many as 5 people may be working together.
- Experience is required in some areas of this stand.
DIPPIN DOTS STANDS AND SCARAS ITALIAN ICE.
- These 3 stands are all 1-person operations.
- During your shift you will be responsible for taking the customers order and money.
General Info:
- All these stands work together and help each other out whenever needed.
- You may be asked the move to another stand from time to time if needed.
Dockside Cafe
Cashier
- Rings the order according to the customers needs.
- Return the correct change to the guests.
- Direct the guest to the correct food pick up area.
Expediter
- Reads the meal ticket on the food tray and places all the items on the tray.
- You will cross off the items as you place them on the tray to make sure all the items ordered are received.
Line Cooks
- The line has 2 fry stations, a flat top grill, a sandwich station and a slice warmer.
- The line cooks are responsible for setting up the stations and cooking orders as they come in.
- Experience is needed in all these areas.
Food Runners
- The food runners are responsible restocking the food stands in the entire park as needed.
- You must be able to move fast and be on your feet a lot.
BBQ Grill
- Line cooks are used at the bbq grill.
- You must be able to cook hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chickens sandwiches and baby back ribs to order.
Waterpark Food Stands / Cabana Waitress
Dippin Dots and Hershey's Ice Cream Stands.
- These stands are all 1-person operations.
- During your shift you will be responsible for taking the customers order and money.
Cabana Waitress:
- Act as a waitress to the Cabana guests and patrons around the Kiddie area of the park.
- Rings the order according to the customers needs.
- You are responsible for taking and filling the customers order, making sure the money is taken.
- Friendly and outgoing people are required.
